The Rickenbacker is really nice. Very good appearance and quality. Compared to some of the earlier controllers, this is easy to play and works flawlessly.

5 out of 5 stars Nice replica design, great for beatle maniacs   January 3, 2010
Raymond Sindell (Wilmington, NC USA)
I purchased this one for parents, as they love the beatles, went to a couple of their shows, and knew most of the beatles history. It is great for those type of fans, but the price really doesn't offer much more as far as guitar controllers go. Nothing special other than the replica aspect.

Looks great for a replica and plays great, but price should limit to hardcore fans only.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome entertainment for all   February 8, 2010

I bought this for the kids to share this past Christmas. It has gotten 2 teenagers off the computer, out of their bedrooms and into the family room. They (12 +14 yr olds) actually seem like humans again, having fun with the family. :>))

5 out of 5 stars Rockband Rickenbacker Guitar   November 17, 2009

The Rickenbacker is a great guitar. Most of the guitars that came with the original Rockband were made poorly and didn't last. I am female, and 52 years old and on my 6th guitar I have worn out. I play on Expert and Hard on Breakneck Speed.
I have to say the Gretsch Guitar is more precise, but this one is excellent too.
It feels more like an instrument than a toy.
Of course, I want all of them.
What a wonderful game for family and friends to enjoy without killing or shooting things in a game.

5 out of 5 stars The best guitar controller yet.   May 4, 2010

After I disassembled my Guitar Hero 3 Les Paul controller trying to take out the strum bar clicker and accidentally broke it (the clicker was needed to complete the circuit, doh), I started looking for a quieter (and functional) replacement. After a couple of months of putting it off I started looking again and to my surprise I found the Beatles Rock Band Rickenbacker for around $70 with S&H! After I got it in the mail, I promptly started up RB2 and was grinning like a fool to the quietness of the strum bar. My only beef with it is that it seems to light and the neck is flimsy.. for what was originally a $100 product, but it works flawlessly and there's no calibration needed as it does it automagically. If I were to rate it.. I'd give it a 9 out of 10 (a point knocked off for flimsiness) If you can find it for under the MSRP (like I did) it's a good and classy looking piece of hardware to add to your collection.
